Dr. Robert Sokol is a Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania. He obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University following a clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He has previously held faculty appointments at the University of Denver, and most recently, at Antioch of New England and in the Department of Psychiatry at the Geisel Medical School at Dartmouth College, where he provided training and supervision for psychology doctoral students, psychology interns, and residents in clinical psychology and psychiatry. Prior to joining Center for Integrated Behavioral Health, he served as the Director of Psychology Training at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont.
Dr. Sokol has extensive expertise and experience working with individuals providing evidence-based treatments. He specializes in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and provides Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral treatment aiding in the recovery from traumatic stress. Dr. Sokol also provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, and adjustment to life changes and conflicts.
