Dr. Stephanie Malozzi is a post-doctoral resident at the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health beginning in August 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Philip Pellegrino, Psy.D., ABPP. She earned her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. Dr. Malozzi completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Malozzi’s primary clinical interests are focused on the advanced clinical application of evidence-based approaches for the treatment of trauma-related disorders and commonly co-occurring concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, chronic pain, insomnia, tobacco cessation, weight and diabetes management, substance use, and recovery from injury. Additionally, she is interested in providing treatment for those facing challenges such as adjustments to major life events ranging from grief and loss, career changes, and transitioning roles of students, parents, and caregivers throughout the lifespan. She has completed clinical training in multiple evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Image Rehearsal Therapy (IRT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Seeking Safety. Dr. Malozzi is adamant about providing cutting edge empirically-based treatments with demonstrated effectiveness. She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients with unique backgrounds to create personalized plans for treatment. In the office, Dr. Malozzi is genuinely warm, welcoming, and focused on providing collaborative care that allows her clients to achieve their goals in timely manner.
Dr. Malozzi completed additional pre-doctoral training in varying settings including Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas, college counseling centers at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University, and in community counseling at Hope-Thru-Horses, Inc. in North Carolina. She has primarily worked with adolescents and adults in all phases of treatment ranging from conducting intakes, formulating treatment plans, and completing clinical assessments through treatment in both individual and group therapy settings. Dr. Malozzi is looking forward to becoming a key member of treatment teams at the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health and providing exceptional care to her clientele in the Lehigh Valley.
