Dr. Margarett Molina Vargas is a Licensed Psychologist at Center for Integrated Behavioral health where she completed an intensive postdoctoral residency in Cognitive & Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pre-doctoral internship at WellSpan Philhaven where she had the opportunity to provide group and individual therapy across the lifespan, with diverse diagnostic presentations and cultural backgrounds, with training in the integration of religion and spirituality.
Throughout her training, Dr. Molina Vargas has worked with adolescents and adults who have been diagnosed with a variety of mood disorders and has a special interest working with trauma. She received training in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed practices throughout her training experiences including inpatient behavioral hospitals, residential facilities for individuals who have sexually offended in the community, and outpatient agencies serving underserved, minority groups.
Dr. Molina Vargas believes the therapeutic relationship is a foundational piece to create a trusting, supportive, and safe environment needed to process life experiences. She collaboratively works with others to understand the connection between mind and body by exploring thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to create change. Dr. Molina Vargas approaches therapy with a balance of warmth and directness, using empirically supported interventions to promote growth.
