Kelly Wetherhold has joined the team at Center for Integrated Behavioral Health as an education consultant and co-host of the “Radically Genuine Podcast”. Kelly has received numerous honors for his work in public education and is currently co-authoring a provocative and cutting edge profile of current practices in public education. He stands out as one of the area’s most respected and innovative educators. He received the prestigious Educator of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education in 2011 and was a finalist for the award in 2009. He has also been nominated numerous times for Who’s Who Among American Educators.
Kelly’s innovative teaching strategies, coined Incentive-Based Learning, have allowed him to present on the local and national level. He is viewed as an expert on Gifted Education, IEP development, student engagement, and implementing technology in the classroom. Kelly also brings expertise in consulting, writing, enhancing communication skills as well as presenting.
Kelly holds a Masters Degree from DeSales University, and his background in literature and communication as well as his strong knowledge in IEP writing provides him a broad base from which to approach many educational topics and concerns. He is available as an individual consultant and trainer for a broad array of academic and educational topics. As a writing coach, he assists high school students in developing engaging and well written essays for college applications. As a consultant, Kelly is available to assist parents of gifted students receive the knowledge, direction, and expertise required to advocate for specially designed instruction. As a trainer and speaker, Kelly provides engaging and creative presentations on topics impacting youth and education. In addition, he is available on a limited basis to provide academic tutoring and motivational interventions for students in need.
